Aviagen is the world’s leading poultry science company, developing pedigree lines for the production of broiler chickens and turkeys. The company is based near Edinburgh with a number of wholly owned operations and joint ventures across the world.
Based in Newbridge and reporting to the Group IT Director, a vacancy has arisen for an Information Systems Manager who will be responsible for providing an efficient IT service for Aviagen Europe, joint ventures and associated companies. In partnership with the Group IT Director you will deliver a successful IT strategy using improved project management techniques to align the IT function with the evolving needs of the business.
Educated to degree level or holding an equivalent professional IT qualification, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience within a similar role and hold PRINCE II or an equivalent project manager qualification. You will be able to demonstrate experience of the full project development lifecycles in a .NET environment with relevant RDBMS experience, preferably with SQL server, as well as the ability to manage a team of developers, help desk technicians, and infrastructure specialists.

- The ability to delegate effectively
- Ability to use a “Hands On” approach as and when required
